that's an interesting question. it'll be interesting to see how the sales numbers answer it. i don't think we'll know til the end of '06.
it'll also be interesting to see if chevy or other car makers incorporate all of this feedback into their product development. i mean, when converse sneakers put out their make-yr-own-ad promotion a while back, they didn't get anywhere near this kind of outpouring of anger, mockery and derision. if you ran a company and people gave you the kind of feedback that is now pouring into the chevyapprentice.com servers, how would you respond to it? would you just blow off the fact that thousands of people are taking significant chunks of time out of their day to create and distribute ads ripping on your product? would that give you pause at all? even on a personal level, like, wow... i sell a product that people think is really bad for the world. hmmm... i suppose if the Tahoe sells well this year, then Chevy might not feel any need to respond or rethink your product line based on this outpouring. afterall, cigarettes, guns, malt liquor and mcdonalds fries aren't very good for the world. they're still selling...
